Wo Learning Champions
Responsibilities: Develop and conduct system-wide professional development activities; commit to mentorship; network with previous generation WoLCs; attend monthly WoLC meetings during the Fall and Spring semesters; engage in collaborative, collegial campus and system activities; be the ambassador of the WoLC initiative on campus; serve an 18-month term
Eligibility: Full-time faculty and APTs are welcome to apply.
The Award: Receive a $2,000.00 professional development stipend to support faculty/staff development and enrichment at the University of Hawaiʻi Community Colleges and refine their leadership and organization skills.
Application: Applicants will submit an essay to current Wo Learning Champions on their campus - further details will be circulated via campus communications prior to the application period

Go on Wo
Grants will be awarded to eligible faculty and staff for visits to other University of Hawaiʻi Community College campuses to consult with colleagues on program development, delivery of academic support services, facilities, etc. Award winners will be notified by email. Individuals may not apply for more than one Visitor Grant per academic year and approval prior to travel is required. Grant recipients are expected to submit a report on their visit within seven days of the travel. The Grant report should include the date of the visit, a summary of the outcomes, and any next steps that are planned. The Grant report should be sent to your supervisor and to Joyce Yamada as an email attachment. Depending on the nature of the travel, grant recipients will also be required to complete other travel documents required by University of Hawaiʻi policies.
